Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 24 February 2026 | Last Updated: 21 March 2026

1. Overview

VoxCor is a privacy-focused platform that allows people to signal for nearby assistance in events, venues, campuses, and other shared environments.

VoxCor is designed to operate without collecting personal identity information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

The platform minimizes data collection and limits processing to the information necessary to operate the help-routing system.

2. Information We Collect

Device Identifier

VoxCor generates a random device identifier used to operate the system.

This identifier allows the platform to:

  • Associate help requests with a device
  • Route requests to nearby helpers
  • Enforce role-based access within Events and Venues
  • Maintain request lifecycle integrity

The device identifier:

  • Is generated by the app
  • Is not linked to a user's identity
  • Is not derived from hardware identifiers such as IMEI or Android ID
  • Is not used for routing-level advertising or tracking

Help Request Data

When a user sends a request for assistance, VoxCor stores limited operational information including:

  • Request category
  • Optional description text
  • Event or venue context if applicable
  • Timestamps
  • Request status transitions such as OPEN, MATCHED, or COMPLETED

This information is used solely to operate the help-routing system.

Event and Venue Participation

When joining an Event or Venue using a QR code:

  • The device identifier may be associated with a role
  • A zone may be assigned for routing and access control

QR tokens are validated using hashed values and are not stored in plain text.

Location Information

VoxCor may access approximate location information to help route requests to nearby participants or staff.

Location data is used only for real-time routing and is not used for tracking, advertising, or profiling.

Operational Metadata

The system may store limited operational metadata such as:

  • System timestamps
  • Lifecycle states
  • Routing logs related to requests

This data helps maintain service reliability and prevent misuse.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

VoxCor does not collect personal identity information such as:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Contacts
  • Photos or videos
  • Biometric information
  • Financial information
  • Location history or background tracking

Advertising ID: Your device's Advertising ID is only accessed if you consent to personalised ads during the in-app consent prompt. If you choose standard or no ads, the Advertising ID is not used.

4. How We Use Information

The limited information collected by VoxCor is used only to:

  • Route help requests
  • Connect requesters with nearby helpers
  • Enforce role and zone permissions
  • Maintain system security and prevent misuse

VoxCor does not use data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

VoxCor does not sell personal data. The following third-party services are used to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy.

Supabase

Backend database and access-control infrastructure. Device identifiers, request content, and routing metadata are stored on Supabase servers.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google)

Used to deliver push notifications. FCM processes a device registration token solely to route notifications to the correct device.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Collects anonymous crash reports to improve app stability. Data may include device model, OS version, app version, and crash stack traces. No personally identifiable information is intentionally included.

Google AdMob

The Android app may display ads. Ad personalisation depends on your consent choice at first launch. With personalised ads, your Advertising ID may be used for ad targeting. With standard non-personalised ads, only contextual signals are used. You can update your preference in Settings -> Privacy at any time.

Stripe

Used for event and venue provisioning on the VoxCor website. Stripe is not integrated in the Android app for in-app purchases.

6. Data Security

VoxCor implements technical safeguards designed to protect system integrity, including:

  • Encrypted network communication (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Database access controls
  • Row-level security
  • Role-based access restrictions
  • Secure hashing of QR tokens

7. Data Retention

Operational request data is retained only as long as necessary to support system functionality and maintain service integrity.

Event and venue administrators may define retention periods for their environments.

VoxCor does not retain personal identity data.

8. User Rights and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of device-associated data.

Because VoxCor does not maintain personal identity accounts, deletion requests apply to device-associated records.

Users may reset their VoxCor identity within the application or contact us to request deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

VoxCor is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Emergency Services Notice

VoxCor is not an emergency service and does not replace local emergency responders.

Users should contact official emergency services for urgent situations.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

Updates will be published on our website or within the application.
